Born in Indiana, Dan spent much of his young life in the Midwest before moving to Bozeman, California, New York, and then back to Bozeman in 1984. During this time, he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts, emphasizing in sculpture, from the University of Cincinnati in 1977. He continued his education at University of California, San Diego, where he earned a Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture and Performance Art. Dan has transformed his passion for the arts into the building industry where he currently acts as the Production Design and Shop Manager at CSI. Prior to this position, Dan owned his own cabinetry business where he crafted fine custom hardwood and reclaimed lumber cabinetry and furniture. Aside from his love and talent for building beautiful and unusual things, Dan has been an avid soccer player for the past 43 years and a soccer coach for the past 15. Dan also enjoys everything the Montana wilderness has to offer and frequently hikes, camps, hunts, and floats the river. Most of all, Dan enjoys the love he receives from his “Granchild support faculty,” who deeply admire him and his talents.
